Amongst the big-name derbies that this set of mid-week fixtures in the Barclays FAWSL presented, there was another game that was of equal importance. As the relegation battle heats up at the bottom, Brighton hosted West Ham in a game that would provide vital relief to whichever side could seal the victory.
Sunday’s match up between Brighton and Birminghm was everything you could have wanted from an FA Cup fixture – a non-stop quality display with drama at both ends, both teams giving it their all and a penalty shootout to decide the winner.
This weekend saw the FA Cup 4th Round take place. The snow cause havoc across the country, with 8 of the 16 ties postponed. However, we got to 3 of the 8 games as teams battled it out for a place in the 5th Round draw.
